Project
**Projects are always set in motion but not set in stone - take project idea with a grain of salt! We will cover as much as we can while you are with us!
Adobe Project :
-Dome Tour at Rich's Domes, a 5 earthbag dome complex
-Floor Lecture & Example photos: We will walk through all the layers and process
-Floor Prep: Radiant flooring will already be installed. We will add gravel layer, vapor barrier, & cut Skree boards to size.
-Mix & Apply Floor Mix: Sift, Mix & apply with floats
-Screed & Level: Work material level & finish trowel
-Finish Coat Demo : We need to wait for subfloor to dry (about 1 week) this means we can't apply the final coat layer. We will show the final coat layer in a demo small location.
-Oils & Finish: Talk through oils & how to seal

Location:
Sunsites, Arizona -2 hours southeast of Tucson, AZ
The property is about a 10 minute drive on a dirt road from the main paved road.
2wd vehicles can make it to the property on the dirt roads.

Lunch is included
These will be group meals provided by our chef.
Breakfast and Dinner are a personal meal.
You will have access to the camp kitchen.
Most meals will include meat with a veggie/vegan option. We will do our best to accommodate for all dietary needs, but it always good to plan ahead & bring additional protein supplements & vitamins as we will be working physically.
Build Site
The location of this workshop is at a previous Mojave Center student's dome home! Rich attended a dome workshop in Oct 2024 and now he has his very own set of domes! Come learn about adobe floors and help Rich by adding a floor into his home!
Rich has hosted 6 workshops now at his property to build the structure of his home and now he is in the finish work phase! You will be able to see plaster examples on the walls, exterior finishes, clay murals and more!
Join us for an immersive workshop nestled in the serene landscapes of Southern Arizona. 2 hours southeast of Tucson, Arizona. Surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the Sky Islands section of the Sonoran Desert, participants can expect to embark on a journey of discovery and inspiration.

Most choose this option! Use the land as base camp. Plenty of land for camping. Will have access to composting toilet, camp shower and camp kitchen.
